| In only a few decades, business analysis has evolved from an IT role (as somebody very IT-savvy who understands better the language of the business) towards a mindset, a mindset that goes beyond IT and which can also be observed more frequently at tactical and even strategic level. This evolution gives us a wider range of opportunities in how we can differentiate ourselves. And such a differentiation asks of course for a recognition. That is exactly the objective of the Business Analysis Achievement Award, an annual Award that our Chapter co-organises with a number of partners.
On the other hand the IT world becomes very well aware that IT Projects are in most cases only there to address business problems and/or opportunities. As a chapter we are therefore very proud that we’ve managed to add a business analysis perspective to the CIO of the Year and the IT Project of the Year contests organised each year by Data News, by being part of the jury and by influencing the winning criteria.
On December 7th 2023 the above awards came to their conclusion during their respective Award ceremonies. Congratulations to all the winners, but also to all the finalists.
The year is ending rapidly and hopefully you can all enjoy a nice and well deserved break with your families.

For the 2nd year in a row, we were given the opportunity to bring a business analysis perspective to the CIO of the Year and the IT Project of the Year contests organised each year by Data News, by being part of the jury and by influencing the winning criteria. Congratulations to all the winners and finalists: An Swalens (CIO of the Year) and BRUCE & Innocens (ICT/Digital Project of the Year). We would like to thank Data News to give us the opportunity to bring business analysis to those contests. |

BA & Beyond Autumn event & Business Analysis Achievement Award |

On 7th of December, the BA & Beyond Autumn event about Data with Lori Silverman, was followed with an inspiring panel discussion with professionals Lori Silverman, Jan Meskens, Christiane Vandepitte, and Chrisanne Kirstein. The ceremony of the Business Analysis Achievement Award was a great closure of the evening. Congratulations to the finalists and of course to the winning Kasper Feys and his team for achieving BA success with Vinçotte's B2B Customer Portal!
