Green Hudson Documentary

Tina Grosowsky and Tom Green were interviewed by Alex O’Neil of WMCT-TV. Alex then creatively wove the story of Green Hudson into this documentary. It will soon be available  on our web page; or, you can watch it now, here:

Committee Reports

Committees continue working behind the scenes, on the streets and at town government

meetings. You are invited to put your talents to work locally to help the planet globally—come,

join a committee.

Education and Outreach Committee: We have organized the first three Climate Cafes in our series. The Cafes plan to provide information about what Green Hudson is working on and to give an overview on the reasons behind climate change. A guest speaker(s) will focus on one topic and share actions that people are encouraged to take. Green Hudson will take note of attendees'  thoughts on the town's priorities for climate action. We hope to provide light snacks and something to drink—making it a real Climate Cafe! (See scheduled announcement below under Reminders.)

Notices will appear in Action Unlimited, the Community Advocate, and through the Town announcement system. But we need you to spread the word—and to attend yourselves! We can all learn more, and take more action. And—please help by bringing snacks and drinks. Committee contact: Jeanette Millard [email protected]

Plastics Reduction: Committee contact: Elisa Pearmain [email protected]

Climate and Energy: Committee contact: Brian White [email protected]

NPR’s Climate Week

On October 2, NPR launched its first-ever "Climate Week: A Search for Solutions". Throughout the week ending on October 8, NPR shared stories on podcasts, broadcast shows and NPR.org focused on the latest data and research about climate change, and how people, communities, and industries are working together to slow down and prevent further damage to communities around the world. Find these stories and more: https://www.npr.org/ClimateWeek.

The Assabet River flows through the town of Hudson providing a powerful reminder of why we want to protect the beauty the earth provides. Scientists are alarmed as we witness climate change happening and we need to do more to put a stop to the threat. Join Green Hudson now to learn more.
