Wed, Mar 6

2:15-3:15 pm in B7

Dr. Denisova will be leading a Taylor Science Fair Club for interested students after school on Wednesdays (except for the first Wednesday of the month). We had 10 students show up at the first meeting. Hopefully more students will get involved.

Please consider volunteering at club meetings if you are a cleared volunteer, no science background necessary. Please see the sign-up to view meeting dates or volunteer.

Dr. Denisova did a wonderful job introducing kids to science projects and even had students do a chemistry experiment at the end! Thank you, Dr. Denisova for inspiring our young scientists!

Taylor Garden Volunteers

As we continue to nurture the growth and development of our Taylor Middle School students, we are excited to extend an invitation to you to become a part of our school community in a unique and rewarding way.

To ensure the continued success of our garden program, we're reaching out to passionate parents like you to volunteer some of your time that will continue into the following school year. Whether you have a green thumb or are simply enthusiastic about supporting our students' growth, there are various ways you can contribute:

  • Garden: Help with tasks such as weeding, watering, and general upkeep to keep our garden flourishing.
  • Compost Bin: Maintain the compost bin by “turning” the bin and collecting appropriate scraps. General upkeep to ensure the bin is healthy.
  • Aeroponics System: Watering (topping off) and maintaining a classroom Aeroponics System.
  • Aquaponics Systems: Maintaining multiple small fish tanks throughout the campus (You can see an example of this at the front office)

Your involvement not only enriches the learning experiences of our students but also strengthens our school community. Plus, it's a fantastic opportunity to bond with fellow parents and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our young learners.

If you're interested in volunteering or would like more information, please don't hesitate to reach out to Carble Cheung at [email protected]. Together, let's cultivate a thriving environment where our students can blossom and grow!

Thank you for considering this opportunity to get involved. We truly appreciate your support.

Looking for other ways to help Taylor?

Consider 1) donating teen prizes for the BARK store or BARK student raffles, and 2) donate novels to keep our reading library updated.

Taylor ART classes and ART Club are in need of magazines for various projects. Any appropriate magazines for middle schoolers would be appreciated, but we are especially in need of technology and sports magazines.

Please provide donations to Ms. Hurley.
