| "The beauty of anti-racism is that you don't have to pretend to be free of racism to be an anti-racist. Anti-racism is the commitment to fight racism wherever you find it, including in yourself. And it's the only way forward." |

This issue is about anti-Blackness in all its manifestations. The things I’ve seen online this month, from the debate on interracial marriage to the denouncing of Black institutions like Delta Sigma Theta and Spelman College as demonic (?!) have honestly made me sad for us. Because what THEE FUCK is wrong with yall? We all carry anti-Black views that have been ingrained in us by a society that hates us top to bottom, but camman. What are we doing to collectively challenge these viewpoints and sentiments in ourselves and others? How do we free ourselves from the shackles of viewing everything Black as inherently bad? Because I’m tired. Anyway, I’m highlighting lots of Black shit that I love in this newsletter, as usual, because that’s what I do. -Khadijah |

| I closed out a client who I did not get along with. And it was the best thing I’ve done this year so far. I’m not here right now for people, situations, and things that disturb my spirit. BEEN THERE, DONE THAT. Learning when to cut things out without fear has been a journey, but there is always better waiting for me on the other side. |
|
I’ve been letting unrealistic expectations drive me a bit for the last few months (years, maybe decades? lol). I have been trying to reign myself in, both with respect to how I put pressure on myself to perform, and also what I expect from those around me. We’re just people for godsake! |

| Did Interracial Dating Ever Help Anybody? |
|
There is no such thing as “reverse” racism, and strong negative reactions by Black people to interracial relationships are not evidence of this non-existent phenomenon. Hopefully that’s not too critical-race-theory for the people in the back. Well-intentioned white people seem to believe that more interracial dating is indicative of progress on racial issues, but it is not, and never has been (white people and Black people been fuckin since the beginning of this country, and where has that gotten us?) |
