I'm happy to report that several of my high school Spanish students ended the academic year with increased confidence and improved grades! Some of them have chosen to continue their lessons this summer in between their vacations and camps to maintain their skills and be prepared for the new school year. I am also supporting college students taking intensive summer classes. This month, I will complete my first twelve-session Medical Spanish course, which I teach online as part of the educational component of the University of California at Irvine Rheumatology Fellows program. The doctors are learning to communicate directly with patients being treated for rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, etc. This allows them to offer more personalized care when asking questions related to pain level, symptoms, and medical history and giving instructions.  Please help spread the word to any and all health care providers and contact me to discuss individual or group instruction.
