Special Olympics Track & Field

9:00-11:30 am

Taylor Field

We are thrilled to share that Taylor will be hosting Special Olympics Track & Field for grades 4-8 on Wednesday, April 16.

This event is a celebration of our students of all abilities and an opportunity to honor their hard work, determination, and incredible spirit. It will be one of the most inspiring days of the year, and we're so excited to cheer on the amazing athletes from around the peninsula.

To help make this event extra special, we are looking for a few volunteers to assist with:

  • decoration preparation and set up
  • helping non athletes find a cheering section

We look forward to a day celebrating the power of inclusion, encouragement, and school spirit.

Taylor Middle School is excited to expand its Debate Club opportunity for students to develop critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills. Students will engage in friendly, structured debates on a variety of topics, learning to express their ideas confidently while respecting different viewpoints. Whether your student is passionate about current events or simply looking to improve their communication skills, Debate Club offers a fun and supportive environment for growth and learning.

The club is fortunate to have former students volunteer their time with Mr. Chen to provide this great opportunity for our students.

Debate Club meets Fridays at 3:30 in Mr. Chen's room. If your student is interested in participating, please complete the Google Form.

Music Needs Your Help!

Dear music parents,

As you know, there is a lot to building a music program. Amanda Negrete works endless days,  working to coordinate lots of moving parts. In the past we have had a dedicated group of parents step up to volunteer their time to help her. Unfortunately, due to children graduating and moving out of our middle school music program, we are in need of a new group of parents to help. The primary needs are coordinating Disneyland trip, fundraising, & concerts. This year we are asking ALL Taylor music parents to commit to help in some way.  As the saying goes, "many hands make light work."

Please email us using the button below to let us know you are interested in helping. We will send you more information and happily welcome you to our team. We'll explain all the tasks we need to get covered in order to ensure that we can provide a great year to our music students.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Musically,
Taylor Music parents
