Music Needs Your Help!

Dear music parents,

As you know, there is a lot to building a music program. Amanda Negrete works endless days, working to coordinate lots of moving parts. In the past we have had a dedicated group of parents step up to volunteer their time to help her. Unfortunately, due to children graduating and moving out of our middle school music program, we are in need of a new group of parents to help. The primary needs are setting up a group of parent leaders to start planning for next year's. This year we are asking ALL Taylor music parents to commit to help in some way. As the saying goes, "many hands make light work."

Please email us using the button below to let us know you are interested in helping. We will send you more information and happily welcome you to our team. We'll explain all the tasks we need to get covered in order to ensure that we can provide a great year to our music students.

Academic Center Closing

As we wind down to the last days of school, the Academic Center will close on Tuesday, May 6.

Math Placement Test

All current 6th-grade students participated in the first round of the math placement test last week.
Students who are absent on these dates or who score below 80% on the Round 1 test will have an opportunity to take a make-up test on Thursday, May 1st, at 2:15 - 3:30 PM in the Taylor Library.



Students who meet this criteria have an opportunity to sign up for the make-up test through a Google Form HERE.



Families of students who take the retake test will be notified of their student's placement of Round 1 on Friday, May 2.



For students who achieve a score of 80% or above on the Round 1 test, we are pleased to offer the opportunity to take the Round 2 placement test on Thursday, May 22nd, from 2:15 PM - 4:15 PM in the Taylor Library. Please note the time change and make necessary arrangements for pick up.


Families will be notified of their student's math placement by Friday, June 6. Other factors considered include student CAASPP scores and 6th grade math grade.
