Hear Two Powerful Voices for Change - Bring a FRIEND!

Image description

VOICE is proud to host two incredible candidates in the weeks ahead—Sylvia Wright, candidate for SC Superintendent of Schools, on April 20 and Dr. Annie Andrews,  candidate for US Senate on May18. These are important opportunities to hear directly from leaders who are working to shape the future of South Carolina and our nation.

Campaigns run on people power—and financial support. If you are able, we strongly encourage you to make a contribution to support their efforts.

And don’t come alone—bring a friend. Expanding our audience helps amplify their message and strengthens our collective voice.

Sign up for April luncheon HERE

As we celebrate our first year together, we have a small surprise gift for everyone attending the April luncheon—a token of our appreciation for the incredible community you’ve helped build. We look forward to celebrating with you.

ACTION ALERT FROM WREN!

We need you to pay attention to what's happening at the State House, because it may feel familiar.

Yesterday, lawmakers introduced S. 1095, a bill that closely mirrors S. 323 - the extreme abortion ban we worked so hard to defeat.

Despite clear opposition, this legislation is back, and it's just as harmful.

S.1095 would outright ban abortion in South Carolina while:

  • Eliminating exceptions for rape, incest, and fatal fetal anomaly

  • Criminalizing access to care, including medication abortion

  • Targeting not just providers, but anyone who helps someone access care

  • Expanding penalties, surveillance, and legal risk

This is a direct attack on bodily autonomy and the ability of South Carolinians to make deeply personal healthcare decisions.

Let's be clear: this bill does not reflect the values or needs of our communities. It puts politics ahead of people and it will cause real harm.

The good news? We've been here before. And we know what it takes to fight back.

We anticipate this bill will be heard in April and will let you know as soon as that date is confirmed.

In the meantime, PLEASE contact Senator Greg Hembee to express your OPPOSITION to this complete and total abortion ban. His number is 803-212-6350.
