Join us for a screening of the film '2040'

"A compelling vision... let yourself be inspired"

Image description

Join the REGENERATION

Australian Dad (writer/director Damon Gameau) imagines what life could be like for his 4-year-old daughter 15 years from now, with a brief but clear depiction of the consequences of our over-use of fossil fuels and the urgent need for change.

Encouragingly, '2040' also shows some of the practical and achievable changes we can make to secure our children's future and our own.
When: 3rd February, 6:00pm.

Where: Clarence Hall, NW1 8RN.
Refreshments will be provided.

The film is shown in collaboration with Castlehaven Community Centre. Join us for the film and discussion about what we can do here in Kentish Town. Further details of the film are available on Wikipedia.

TKT Nature Connections - Seasonal Events update

Image description

Saturday 15th February - Hidden Spring: this walk has been cancelled.

We're no longer running this walk and gathering, as we don't now have access to indoor space for everyone to warm up for the second part of this event to celebrate the ancient Gaelic festival of IMBOLC.

Coming between Midwinter and the Spring Equinox, when our ancestors gathered to light bonfires to celebrate the returning Light in this time of 'hidden spring', it's a great time for brisk walks to keep us connected with these hidden changes and we encourage all of us to get out for a short walk in local Nature whenever the sun manages to shine through.

You can really feel the strengthening, clearer light as we move into February. And as the first spring bulbs are starting to emerge. Nothing much else to see. You just have to hope and trust it's happening, as energy begins to flow up into trunks and branches and seeds begin to sprout in gardens, allotments, window boxes and meadows. A great tonic for us in this late 'Winter turning towards Spring season'.

'Emerge' -  our Spring Equinox Walk has now been confirmed for Saturday 22nd March, 2:00 - 3:30pm.

A Spring Equinox Walk around Parliament Hill Fields to celebrate the great unfurling of leaves and emerging energies of Spring. With the TKT Nature Connections team and ecologist Jeff Waage as our expert guide. Details will be shared nearer the time.
