Join us online on April 11th for an exciting cross-continental conversation about Africa-Europe cultural collaboration! From 1-2 PM CET, culture Solutions, the South African Cultural Observatory and Deconfining are bringing together cultural professionals to explore strong cultural ecosystems and skills development.

This article is based on a presentation by Elise Cuny at UNIMED WEEK in Brussels, highlighting findings from a joint research project by culture Solutions and the South African Cultural Observatory. It explores how Cultural and Creative Industries can address youth underemployment in Africa by leveraging digital transformation and strengthening Africa-Europe cooperation in higher education. The article calls on universities to play a more active role in building skills, fostering policy awareness, and supporting sustainable growth in the cultural sector.
