Are you uncertain about what to do with old tech you have lying around at home?

          Cathy shares her experience:

I went for a ‘tech rescue’ session with Share Oxford in the summer as my laptop was incredibly slow. It was also running Windows10 and Microsoft is going to stop supporting this in the autumn.

We decided that it was not worth ‘repairing’ as I could buy a good second-hand laptop by paying only a little extra at a company Share Oxford recommended called Stone Refurb www.stonerefurb.co.uk.

It took me ages to do this but I am delighted. I got a laptop for £200 and I have donated my old laptop to https://gettingoxfordshireonline.org/ through Share Oxford. I also donated an iPhone, an IPad, an old hard drive and three other old laptops! This means that people who can’t afford technology will benefit.
