October 31, 2025 (Cumberland House, SK) // Confidence isn’t new terrain for Ger Carriere, but Be Hotter proves she’s learned how to weaponize it. The track arrives with the kind of heat that makes you smirk mid-stride, balancing simplicity with sheer attitude. It’s mean girls energy with a wink; a power move in handclaps and perfectly measured bass.

Carriere chooses to be restrained, in contrast to other artists who stack production to sound larger. Her vocals are layered, playful, and brimming with charisma and do all the heavy lifting, while the beat snaps and the space between sounds feels deliberate. Be Hotter doesn’t just say “I’m unbothered”; it makes being unbothered sound aspirational. There’s a charge to it, the kind of energy that says: don’t hate, level up.

Listen to “Be Hotter” HERE

Carriere has been quietly stacking wins leading into this era. Her previous single Can I Be Her just wrapped a streak of accomplishments: winning the Real People Playoffs, earning a five-week run on MBC, being inducted into the MBC Hall of Fame, holding seven consecutive weeks at #1 on the Sask INDG Countdown, and crashing through the top 30 and is now, #29 on the Indigenous Music Countdown on SiriusXM. Those stats might read like momentum, but here, they sound more like fuel.

More of a flex than a fight anthem, the song is focused on revelling in the view from the top rather than asserting one's worth. Its straightforwardness is exciting: the only elements are a very solid groove and a communication that hits like a raised brow and has an exciting quality.

Moreover, the track is the opener of her forthcoming EP of the same title, which will drop on November 4, and is to showcase this period of being daring and having power over the art. Carriere is not only finding her voice through "Be Hotter"; she is also ensuring that it is loud and clear, if at all.
