November 16, 2025 (Toronto, ON) // The eagerly awaited album Black Avalanche by Toronto's ONE HUNDRED MOONS is now available. The band's nine tracks create a body of work that is simultaneously expansive and intensely personal; it is music that hovers between cosmic scale and human emotion. The album is like a guided trip through beauty, doubt, and memory. Every song creates a world of its own, bound together by the band's unmistakable command of tension and atmosphere.

The title track opens like a myth retold through static and reverb, a slow surrender to romanticized sadness. From there, “Death of the Party” moves with a shadowed grace, its midtempo rhythm veiled in a vaguely exotic and enigmatic aura. “Ear to Ear” takes the listener through a labyrinth of discordant guitars and eerie harmonies. “Chairman of the Bored” floats with a dreamlike stillness, before “Shade of the Night” spirals into quiet despair. By the time “House of Mirrors” arrives, the band is looking back with wistful clarity, melancholy tempered by something almost hopeful.

The closing track, “Into Nowhere, stretches that feeling outward even further, with distortion and reverb blooming into something cinematic, infinite, and strangely peaceful. It serves as a reminder of the vastness the band portrays: that odd sense of wonder you get when you suddenly realize how tiny and amazing everything is.

The sound that ONE HUNDRED MOONS has been honing comes filtered through their own sense of gravity and restraint, combining the emotion of Radiohead with the haze of My Bloody Valentine. Black Avalanche is an album that invites you to lose yourself in its weight and wonder, rather than begging to be understood.

The band's fall tour of Ontario, which includes stops in Waterloo, Oshawa, Niagara, Toronto, Hamilton, and Windsor, is timed to coincide with the release.
