March Meeting - Mahjong Night

Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 6:30 pm

We are going to pivot on our March meeting. We are going to have a Mahjong night! The location has changed to Mission Chateau, 4100 W 85th St, PV, KS. Thank you to Peaches and Connie! Their party area is perfectly set up to accommodate us.

Things we are in need of:

  1. Co-hostesses: help by providing appetizers, dessert or beverages.

  2. People who can bring their Mahjong set with them to the event

  3. People who know how to play that are willing to “host” a table of 4

Amy Tonyes has volunteered to be our instructor for the evening ❤️💚 If you are willing to be a table leader we’d love it!

If you can help with any of these let Whitney Schmale know at [email protected] or 913-634-7613

Can’t wait to learn!

Final stretch - reminder to pay your dues! Our stretch membership goal of 140 and we need your support. Our membership year runs from August 1st to July 31st. We invite you to become a dues-paying member for the 2025-2026 year! We are currently at 104. Please help us achieve that goal and join us at our programs and events especially this year as it is a convention year and membership totals go into awards selection - we all know Mu Mu is incredible so let's highlight it! Annual dues cover national per capita dues, operating expenses, convention/ province fees, and provide support for the 7 Kansas and Missouri Collegiate Chapters we support, along with the National Fraternity and various Alpha Chi Omega causes. Thank you in advance for supporting Mu Mu by paying your membership dues!

Sponsor an Alumna Initiate Candidate

Do you know an outstanding woman whom you think would make a great Alpha Chi Omega? Women we’ve welcomed through this program have included our friends, family members, coworkers, campus professionals and other women who have made a difference in their communities, in their professions and in the lives of others. Alpha Chi Omega shapes the future through the powerful, transformative and everlasting connections of real, strong women. The National Alumna Initiate Program (NAIP) extends our membership experience to real, strong women in our communities who identify with the mission and values of Alpha Chi and care about our philanthropic initiatives, who did not have the opportunity to join Alpha Chi Omega as a collegiate member. Please let us know if you have a friend, family or neighbor that you think would make a great Alpha Chi Omega.

Contact Bev Nichols at [email protected] for more information.

Annual White Elephant Recap

Our annual Mu Mu January White Elephant auction evening beat the cold, snowy weather. We had an amazing turnout and time. Thirty sisters attended. Lots of AX items and wonderful white elephant items were auctioned, including a white elephant figurine. The winner of the Lyre Bird Ring Holder membership incentive was Kristin DaMette. We raised $1,038 for our programs and priorities. Many thanks to Connie Mendolia and Peaches Cunningham for our wonderful location and excellent dinner. Our auctioneer, Amy Bartak, did a great job of encouraging our sisters to bid, using the clues provided. Thanks to all who assisted, brought items and attended.

Lunch Bunch Recap

Eight greeted the new year with a Zoom gathering on January 6. A lot of the very entertaining chat had to due with those we look after plus a visiting toddler and a very large puppy. We miss cheering for our Chiefs. How spoiled we are.
