March is here, and with it the promise of new life, longer days, and a little bit more sunshine! We have been busy here, at the Space to Dream Gallery, planning lots of exciting new projects, but we can't quite share the news yet. So, stay tuned, and follow us on Instagram or TikTok for regular updates.

Don't Miss The Deadline On Our Latest Open Call!

We are still taking submissions for our next exhibition, which will open on the 21st of March and run until the 1st of May 2026. Our theme is LIFE, and the deadline for submissions is the 11th of March 2026, at midnight.

We welcome all forms of creativity. This includes painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, collage, printmaking, textile, ceramic, illustration, and digital art.
Please, submit up to 3 high-resolution images by email ([email protected]), or DM.

And, please include the following details: The artist's name and age, the size and title of the artwork, and a few words about it.

A New Addition To The Family

We are delighted to have a new art dreamer join our little team! Meet the lovely and gentle Jalila, who will be bringing her own magic to creative Saturday classes. Here's what she wanted to share with you all:

Hiya, everyone! My name is Jalila, I'm a textile artist living and working in South London. I studied fine art at Goldsmiths University a few years ago and, since then, I have found myself working in various roles in the intersection of arts, community and education. I found the power of art when activated in a community space really excites me and fuels me with purpose!

Recently, I stumbled across the wonderful work of Fran and Morgane at the Space to Dream Gallery, and I was immediately taken by their authentic and fun approach! I have been enjoying my time working with them along with all the amazing young artists, and am excited to see what the future will bring :)

Artist Profile

Meet Maleek Kweli Egoume Moungnanou

8 years old.

Portrait of Maleek, posing next to his colour pencil portrait of his mum, Mama Adwoa. Of it, he says, "Love for me is family. I wouldn't be here without them. Especially my mom, she looks after me, supports me and makes me feel safe."

What is your favourite medium to work with, and why?

Clay is my favourite medium, because it lets me create things in my imagination — things which are not real and also in 3D.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in TV shows (e.g. Spider-man would make me want to create a new hero), other people’s drawings ( like in the gallery exhibitions), and in school writing. For example, when you’re writing a story in literacy. I love to take words from my stories and turn them into images.

What do you like about being creative?

Being creative makes me feel more open and curious for new ideas in my artwork.

What is your latest artwork?

My latest artwork is a drawing of me and my friend playing basketball.

As a small, independent gallery, we are dedicated to keeping this special place thriving for the next generation of artists. We are currently awaiting news on essential funding, but to reach our next level, we need your help.

Specifically, we are looking for the following:

Digital Support: Expertise in website management or social media strategy.
Funding & Grants: Advice or leads on arts funding and local grants.
Sponsorships: Connections to local businesses that love the arts.
Media & Outreach: We are looking to share our story with a wider audience. If you have connections to local newspapers, TV news, or radio, we would love to speak with them about the work we do and our vision.

A Very Special Thank You To Healthy Living Platform

We were able to kick off this term's classes with some delicious snacks donated by the amazing people at Healthy Living Platform. In addition to doing wonderful things for the community, like running low-cost food pantries and a community café, they are now fuelling our talented young artists too!
