We’re closing the shop – but we’re not disappearing!

We are writing to let you know about an important change, and how to stay in touch.


After much thought, we’ve decided to close our physical shop in May. This hasn’t been an easy decision, but it will allow us to focus our time and energy on what matters most: looking after our customers properly.


For those of you who don’t know, Alison has been training to be a Vicar for a few years now. This summer she will be ordained, and go into ministry full time as a curate in the parish of Lindley.


Lee will continue to run Inspiration Computers, working remotely, providing support and new equipment in a more flexible and sustainable way.

Our new Computer Care subscription

To make support simpler and more affordable, we’re introducing a Computer Care subscription for a small number of customers.


This is designed especially for customers who want:

  • Peace of mind

  • Ongoing monitoring of their computer

  • Help when something goes wrong on a priority basis

Our subscription is £25 per month (£15 per additional PC) and includes:

  • Ongoing computer health monitoring

  • One remote support session each month*

  • Unlimited telephone support and advice (subject to fair use)*

  • Professional antivirus and online safety protection

  • An annual Computer MOT (normally £85)

  • Free local collection and return for hardware repairs*

  • Priority support over pay-as-you-go customers

This plan is ideal if you want peace of mind, prefer to speak to someone you trust, and like problems being prevented, not just fixed. The annual benefits exceed £900! Full details can be found on our website.

Prefer pay-as-you-go?

That's still available! Pay-as-you-go support is still available, but for non-subscribers appointments may be limited and response times slower.

  • One-off problems

The Care Pack just offers better value and priority for those who want ongoing support.

*Home Computer Care Plan – Terms & Conditions


What’s included?

  • Ongoing computer health monitoring via customised background software

  • One remote support session per month (up to 1 hour / one issue)

  • Unlimited telephone advice and support (see details below)

  • Antivirus and online safety protection

  • One Annual Computer MOT per year

  • Free local collection and return for hardware repairs in HD and WF14 postcode areas

  • Priority support - Care Plan members are prioritised ahead of pay-as-you-go customers


Remote support

  • Includes one remote session per calendar month (up to 1 hour and focused on a single support request)

  • Unused sessions do not roll over

  • Additional remote sessions are chargeable at a discounted member rate

  • Remote support sessions require you to be present at the computer to approve the secure connection.


Telephone support

  • Unlimited telephone support is provided for advice, assessment, and guidance (subject to fair use). However if something needs more hands-on help (remote support or hardware fix), we’ll guide you clearly and fairly.


Hardware repairs

  • Hardware repairs, parts, and labour are not included

  • All chargeable work will be quoted and approved in advance


Devices covered

  • The plan covers one computer on which the monitoring/support software is installed.

  • Additional devices can be added for a reduced rate of £15 per month


Fair use

  • This plan is intended for normal household use or individual home workers.

  • We reserve the right to discuss alternative arrangements or terminate the agreement if usage becomes excessive or unreasonable


Terms

  • Payment to be taken via Direct Debit

  • Initial term 12 months

  • After initial term, cancel with 30 days’ notice


While every care is taken, customers remain responsible for maintaining backups of their data. Inspiration Computers cannot accept liability for loss of data during repair, maintenance, or monitoring services. While this service does not include a formal Service Level Agreement (SLA) or guaranteed response time, Care Plan members are given priority over pay-as-you-go customers and we aim to respond as quickly as possible during normal working hours. We will notify customers in advance of short service pauses during family holidays (typically Christmas, Easter and a short summer break), not exceeding six weeks in total per year. These terms may be updated from time to time with reasonable notice to customers.
