We've had holidays, long weekends, atmospheric rivers, travel, travel through atmospheric rivers, new directions, new friends popping out of surprising places, old ones moving on to unreachable ones, family shifts, losses and gains - whew, but here we are in March, and here I am with some new paintings to show you, a couple of shows I am or will be in, in case you can get to them, and - oh yes, a new newsletter platform that II'm trying out for the first time with this issue. I have spent some serious time in the studio and have produced several new pieces since you last heard from me. One will be in a show in March. Here are two from my Heaven & Earth series, Aura (left) and Ore (right). They are each on 12" square wood panels in natural wood-toned floater frames. Nice alone but better together! Two others, considerably larger are Traces and Gorge, both coming from a sense of the bones of the earth: rocks. They are each 24 x 20" on stretched canvas in black metal floater frames. Traces was selected to be in the March Show at the SFWA Gallery beginning Tuesday 3/3 and running until Friday 4/3. I will not be at the Opening Reception since I'll be on my way to Chicago, but it is Saturday 3/7 from 2 - 4pm at 647 Irving Street, San Francisco. |
