Sandusky County Housing Study Reveals Critical Needs & Opportunities for Community Growth

The Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) has completed a county-wide Housing Opportunity Analysis, funded by the Sandusky County Communities Foundation. The study identifies a need for 920 to 996 new housing units over the next five years, addressing the aging housing stock and the fact that many workers live outside the county due to a lack of suitable options.

To tackle these issues, the study recommends strategies such as financial incentives for builders and streamlined development processes.

"Addressing our housing needs is essential for the future economic health of Sandusky County," said Beth Hannam, Executive Director of the SCEDC.

For more information or to request a presentation of these findings at a local event, please contact Kyleigh Lash at [email protected].
