Hall of Commitment

Phi Chapter

Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 2:00 pm

Hall of Commitment will be held at Phi Chapter (University of Kansas), on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. If you would like to participate in the ritual, we are still looking for several alumnae sisters. Please contact Karen Blanks at [email protected] or 913-991-0232 (text is fine, also) as soon as possible. You would need to be available for rehearsal at 12:00 p.m.

Directory Ads

If you own a business or know a local business that would like to advertise in our annual 2026-2027 Mu Mu Directory, the deadline is July 15th. You also don’t have to have a business! Last year, we had several sisters support their favorite business or do a tribute ad honoring an AXO woman or chapter.

Full page ads are $45. Half page ads are $30. Quarter page ads are $20. Design help is available. As an added benefit, AXO businesses are given great exposure on the Mu Mu website under ‘Sisters Shopping Sisters,’ our own network of Real, Strong Women.

Please contact Sheri Baldwin at [email protected] if you are interested.

Rose Brooks Donation Needs

Rose Brooks is looking for items that they can do with the children this summer while they are not in school.  Items such as sidewalk chalk, bubbles, arts and craft supplies, water balloons, and face painting kits. Tickets to attractions such as Wonderscope, Rabbit hole, Lego Land etc. are great as well! They typically have between 45 and 50 children.

Donations can be brought to the next program or you can order from Amazon and send to Tina McGuire at 8120 Rosewood Drive, Prairie Village, KS 66208. If you want to donate money to go towards the purchase of attraction tickets, please Venmo at Tina-McGuire-18.

Sponsor an Alumna Initiate Candidate

Do you know an outstanding woman whom you think would make a great Alpha Chi Omega? Women we’ve welcomed through this program have included our friends, family members, coworkers, campus professionals and other women who have made a difference in their communities, in their professions and in the lives of others. Alpha Chi Omega shapes the future through the powerful, transformative and everlasting connections of real, strong women. The National Alumna Initiate Program (NAIP) extends our membership experience to real, strong women in our communities who identify with the mission and values of Alpha Chi and care about our philanthropic initiatives, who did not have the opportunity to join Alpha Chi Omega as a collegiate member. Please let us know if you have a friend, family or neighbor that you think would make a great Alpha Chi Omega.

Contact Bev Nichols at [email protected] for more information.

Lunch Bunch Recap

We had a bang up time at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen in Overland Park on April 7, where 11 joined in.

We send our best wishes for recovery out to Marjorie Frauenfelder, Gamma Zeta (Kansas State University) ’55, who couldn't join because she recently fell and broke her hip.

All had the croissants drizzled in honey butter to start. Most had the grilled whitefish, pot pie, fish and chips or the monte cristo sandwich. Too engrossed in the yummy food to pose for a group photo. Join us next on Cinco de Mayo.
