Dear Friends and Industry Colleagues,
Greetings from Houston, Texas!
I am already in the US ahead of another busy period of international trade shows, networking, client support, meetings, and IP business development.
Next week I will be attending Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, where we are seeing a record-breaking Japanese presence, with 47 Japanese exhibitors participating — the largest number ever at the show. In addition to many returning companies, there are also 11 first-time Japanese exhibitors this year, including major names such as Square Enix, TBS, and Nippon TV. |

Interest from Japan in global licensing continues to grow strongly, driven by huge international demand for Japanese anime, manga, gaming, and original character content. As Informa Markets’ official Japan sales agent for Licensing Expo, Licensing Expo Shanghai (15–17 July, Shanghai), and Brand Licensing Europe (6–8 October, London), I continue supporting Japanese companies seeking global licensing opportunities.
Exhibitor enquiries and reservations continue to come in for all shows, with Licensing Expo 2027 (25–27 May, Las Vegas) already generating confirmed bookings.
If you’re a Japanese company attending Licensing Expo, feel free to contact me to discuss exhibiting opportunities onsite over coffee or tea. |

While in Las Vegas, ZenWorks, together with Tact Communications, will also be meeting with U.S.-based licensees interested in potential Kikkoman licensing opportunities (details here). If you are a licensee active in the U.S. market, feel free to contact me for a chat. |

On the evening of Day 2 of Licensing Japan (Thursday, 18 June), ZenWorks client New Alchemy Solutions — provider of a proven no-cost anti-counterfeiting and brand protection solution — will host a networking event at Brew33 Bar, DoubleTree Hotel near Tokyo Big Sight. The previous AnimeJapan gathering attracted around 70 industry attendees.
Please email me if you would like to sign up. |

The following week, ZenWorks will exhibit together with client Matrix Promotion at Japan Marketing Week Summer Edition (24–26 June, Tokyo Big Sight), showcasing customized Monopoly board game solutions — one of the most unique promotional and branding concepts in the market today.
Customized Monopoly can be used for giveaways, promotions, retail products, corporate branding, employee engagement, tourism campaigns, education, and destination marketing projects.
Visit us at Booth #M8-22 in the Advertising Media Expo area. |

Toward the end of June, ZenWorks will also begin the next intake of its industry-pioneering English for Global Licensing classes.
Two online courses — Intermediate (covering basics) and Advanced (covering latest trends) — are offered, designed to help Asia-based licensing professionals communicate more confidently in global business settings.

If you are unsure which course level may be most suitable, please feel free to contact me directly for a chat. |

Immediately after this, I’ll head back to the U.S. once again — this time to Los Angeles for Anime Expo (July 2–5). I’ll be attending with an industry badge on behalf of New Alchemy Solutions to connect with Japanese exhibitors about IP protection — and believe me, it’s a truly “no-cost, no-nonsense, next-level” solution with a proven track record.
This will actually be my first Anime Expo, so I’d welcome any advice on how to navigate the event efficiently. If there are recommended networking events or industry gatherings during the show, please let me know! |
