Welcome to the new Bedford Radio Newsletter!

It has been a while since Bedford Radio last produced a monthly newsletter for our listeners, so we are delighted to re-launch it. Each month we will bring you news about what’s happening at the station, details about live events and our latest schedule.

If you have a suggestion about what you would like to see in our next edition, we would love to hear from you - please email [email protected].

Everyday Heroes Awards

Bedford Radio is proud to be a sponsor of the Bedford Independent Everyday Heroes Awards in the category Pride in Bedford Borough. The Awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 7th May at the Quarry Theatre, 26 St Peter's Street, Bedford.

The Awards celebrate the achievements of ordinary people in Bedford who make the town a great place to live in. They look at successes, initiatives, events and campaigns that instil a sense of pride in Bedford Borough.

Meet Local Author at the Studio

Bedford children's author, Jenny Ives, will be visiting Jude's Coffee Shop in the Wellbeing Media Hub - which is also the home of the Bedford Radio studios! - on Saturday 23rd May at 12.30pm, for an interactive story time reading of her new book, Otis and the Search for a Monster.

The event is suitable for children aged 4-7 years old and is free to attend. No need to book - just come to Jude's Coffee Shop at 20-22 St Mary's Street, Bedford (just over the bridge from the Swan Hotel).

Jenny will also be giving an interview on the Saturday Social on that day - tune in at 12 noon!
