The latest Provincial Youth Overnight took place at the end of March, hosted by St Paul's in Kinlochleven. Young people from across the Province came together to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and to plan and lead worship on Palm Sunday.

Getting Election-Ready with Christian Aid

Christian Aid has released a Scottish Election resource aimed at young people: Decisions, Decisions, Decisions. This PDF document will help youth workers and their young people to explore their role as global citizens, understand how local actions have international impacts, and find out what the Bible has to say about loving our neighbours well. There are games, interactive activities and opportunities for reflection.

Jubilate is Recruiting Young Singers Now!

Jubilate is a choir at St Mary's Cathedral for children in P3–5 who love to sing, with P2s welcome to join from the summer term. It meets every term-time Friday from 3–4pm in the Song School in St Mary's Cathedral grounds


The next open rehearsal will be Friday 24 April. Every child is entitled to a free trial before officially signing up. To register for this open rehearsal, please complete this form.

Lent Appeal 2026: Aberlour

The Diocese of Edinburgh Lent Appeal 2026 has a specific focus on children and young people in Scotland – and even though Lent is over, it's not too late to donate!


Aberlour Children’s Charity works to provide tailored support to families facing poverty, disadvantage and discrimination. The charity has been in operation for just over 150 years, with a long and varied history, although giving every child the best possible start in life has always been at the heart of what they do. Find out more on our website.

Yeek 2026, "On the Way", Glenalmond College

26 July–1 August 2026 

Are you ready to set off On the Way? If you are in S1-S6 then there can be no better starting point than at YEEK 26, the provincial youth week of the Scottish Episcopal Church. Over the week, join other young people from across Scotland at Glenalmond College in rural Perthshire for a slight detour on your journey of faith: full of fun, great people, and plenty that can happen on the way. Morland Choristers' Camp, 26 July–2 August 2026 

This annual residential summer course for young singers aged 9–17 offers a unique opportunity to experience the excitement of singing in a 100-strong four-part choir and to enjoy a week of outdoor activities in the Eden Valley. Anyone can apply: all that is needed is a love of singing and lots of energy. 

The cost is £475 (discounts and bursaries available).

Thy Kingdom Come resources for 2026, with the theme God with us, are now available via the TKC website. They include this year's Novena, written by Archbishop Sarah Mullally; five great ideas for how your church can take part in Thy Kingdom Come; and ten daily prayer ideas. Resources for a Digital Detox have been kept from last year – so if you didn't try it then, you have another chance!

There's a Thy Kingdom Come shop where you can order resources for this year such as journals, stickers and bookmarks in bulk. 'Pray for 5 cards' could be paired with leather cords as a reminder to pray – or you could buy the cards and create your own prayer cords/bracelets.

WhatsApp group for young adults

The Pisky 18+ WhatsApp Community is a PYC initiative to help Yeek graduates and other 18–25s keep in touch with each other and with key Youth leaders. There are announcements of opportunities such as pilgrimages, and the chance to join different groups in the Community (e.g. your Diocese, Yeek 24 leavers). beHeld: Youth & Children’s Ministry Training Days

In 2026, all involved in youth and children's ministry are invited to a fresh series of training days at Ps & Gs Church called 'beHeld'. The next is on 23 May (future dates are 26 September and 28 November). Each event will be on a Saturday morning, 9am–1pm, with light refreshments, worship, and the chance to hear from experts on key subjects relevant to ministry with youth and children. Get more information on the Ps & Gs website.

beHeld costs £15 per session, but the diocese will cover the cost of one ticket per charge. Just email us at [email protected] with your name and charge, and we'll book you in for the 23 May session

The Provincial Enable Grant can be used to access up to £5000 in any one year. It aims to enable SEC congregations to develop new projects, or to support existing projects with an SEC connection, address increasing poverty amongst families in their community. More details are on the SEC website.

Care for the Family are running a series of events called 'Left to Their Own Devices?' that explore how to raise tech-savvy kids. One of these events is on 20 May at Ps & Gs, Edinburgh from 7.30–10pm. It will cover:

  • What our children might be exposed to online, who they might be speaking to and how they behave

  • The teenage brain and why managing the online world is harder for them than for us 

  • Practical ways to keep your family safe online

  • Ways to keep up with a fast-changing industry

  • The impact social media is having on mental health

  • How parents can be role models.
