Learn how to make new plants for free! A practical workshop on the basics of propagating new plants by cuttings and root division. Semi-ripe cuttings are taken from slightly older plant growth before it becomes totally woody, this will include lavender and rosemary. You will also learn how to divide plants like mint. Exploring what ordinary people think freedom means today – and what it meant in 1945. Developed by Future Arts Centres and Open Eye Gallery, it brings together stories of participants who took part in 60 locally led projects across the UK. The images were captured by 22 photographers who followed each project closely, and feature a diverse range of people aged 0 – 100, including schoolchildren, veterans and artists. The arts should be accessible to everyone, so don't let the high entry fees stop you from going out and enjoying some live music, a performance or exhibition. Many exhibitions and galleries in London are free, but do remember to check for concession prices for paid exhibitions. Here are some local venues offering discounted entry.
