| | Welcome to a new membership year with Mu Mu. As we begin our programming, I’m pleased to share recent convention highlights from AXΩ groups in our region. I was honored to represent the Mu Mu Alumnae Chapter as our voting delegate at the 63rd Alpha Chi Omega Convention in Dallas this July, themed In Step with Alpha Chi. It was an exciting convention, and we had 8 Mu Mu sisters in attendance.
Mu Mu was recognized with the Continuing Excellence Award and celebrated for achieving a new level of giving... |

The Silence the Violence committee is looking for donations for our Gift Card Spin the Wheel. This is our most popular activity at STV - last year it sold out in less than 1 hour! We need gift cards valued at $25 (or more!) to your favorite stores, restaurants, or experiences. (Pro tip: If you have a Costco membership, they offer a variety of options for 80% of face value.)
Please bring your donation to the Welcome Back event on 8/27 or reach out to Kim Bartak ([email protected]) to coordinate pickup. THANK YOU for your consideration! |

There is amazing news to share from our 2026 Alpha Chi Omega convention. Bev Nichols was honored and so humbled to accept the Continuing Excellence award for our Kansas City alumnae chapter. The Mu Mu exec board and all of you are the reason we shine at convention. We were also honored for a new level of Giving; we reached the Orpheus Roll having donated over $250,000 to Foundation.
We had eight Mu Mu sisters in attendance: Diane Blackwelder, Carla Mattson, Sasha Williams, Stacia Giese, Tammy Hawks, Julie Allen, Lauren Weems and Bev Nichols. Thanks sisters for all your support in making this happen for our chapter! |

Do you know an outstanding woman whom you think would make a great Alpha Chi Omega? Women we’ve welcomed through this program have included our friends, family members, coworkers, campus professionals and other women who have made a difference in their communities, in their professions and in the lives of others. Alpha Chi Omega shapes the future through the powerful, transformative and everlasting connections of real, strong women. The National Alumna Initiate Program (NAIP) extends our membership experience to real, strong women in our communities who identify with the mission and values of Alpha Chi and care about our philanthropic initiatives, who did not have the opportunity to join Alpha Chi Omega as a collegiate member. Please let us know if you have a friend, family or neighbor that you think would make a great Alpha Chi Omega. Contact Bev Nichols at [email protected] for more information.

| | Still celebrating America’s 250th birthday, ten Lunch Bunchers met on July 7 at Jess and Jim’s Steakhouse on the Kansas City, MO side. Of course, most ordered a version of steak. Mmm, who doesn’t love a great steak and a trucker hat? |
