Happy June X Chapter Family!
I am so excited to be taking over the role of President from Valerie. Now that summer is in full swing, our northern members are enjoying those sunroof open, windows down kind of days. Those of us in the south are probably hiding out in the AC. As a transplant from Pennsylvania to Florida 25 years ago, I fondly refer to Florida summers as "Winter". So my 430i hardtop convertible is enjoying some top-up drives.
Until recently, I had a 2019 X5 with M sport package. In true, X Chapter president fashion, I am now the proud owner of a 2025 X2 M35i in Portimao blue. In case you didn't know, Valerie also drives an X2 M35i. I was fortunate to find one with 12k miles that was a manager's car so it had never been titled. I have to say that this is one of the most fun to drive cars I have ever owned. It's fast, it's sporty, it's cool and still has a ton of trunk space since it's a hatchback. My first car, a Ford Escort, that I purchased in college was a hatchback. I loved that car too as it was super reliable in the snow and the gas mileage was fantastic. The gas savings left more money for beer (I was in college and a sorority after all).
After buying the X2, I considered for a split second selling the 430i. Anyone that knows me, knows that the 430i is my baby. I only drive it about 3000 miles a year and of course handwash it. Then my next thought was, well my daughter will be driving in 2 years and the 430i is paid for. She is itching to get her hands on it. I fully expect to receive a power point presentation as to why she should be allowed to drive it. Not sure how much more I want to spoil her by letting her first car be a BMW.

Membership Fee Updates: Membership fees will increase beginning August 1, 2026. I encourage you to review your membership and consider renewing now to ensure you are able to take advantage of current rates. Also be sure to include your X Chapter membership in that renewal to ensure you stay connected with us!
Volunteers Needed: The Chapter remains in need of volunteers to assist with many chapter functions - if you have an hour or two per month that you can share, please reach out to volunteer your time. Remember, CCA chapters are 100% volunteer run and it's up to all of us to share our time to make the club what we want.
