We're fortunate to be able to say 2026 has been another largely positive year so far, despite the enshittification of so many things. Our communities are what keep us going, and we're happy to share some recent activities with you.

We've set up a new studio in Ōtepoti/Dunedin that we're thrilled about. We hope to be able to enjoy and share this beautiful space for a long time to come. We welcome studio visits and would love to have you in for a cuppa. 

Last year/early this year, we included our new work Unboxing Vid (made in collaboration with Colleen Coco Collins) in There is (no) Anthropocene at COCA gallery in Ōtautahi/Christchurch. Exhibiting alongside and getting to know this group of inspiring, thoughtful artists was real pleasure. 

In May in Ōtepoti, we presented a new exhibition of experimental botanical pen plotter drawings entitled Object Lessons. Thanks Ōtepoti for indulging in this tangent with us! 

Upon arriving in Canada in June, we delivered Maple I (Kjipuktuk/Halifax) to the Government of New Brunswick, who acquired it into Collection ArtNB. It will tour galleries with the other new acquisitions, and then they'll truck them to some of New Brunswick's rural schools, so kids who don't get to visit galleries have a chance to experience contemporary art. Cool! 

We are also currently included in the group exhibition Channelling, curated by Pan Wendt at Prince Edward Island's Confederation Centre of the Arts Gallery, which opened last weekend. It was so great to meet and celebrate with so many artists from across Canada, including Coco who travelled from Nova Scotia. 

Now we're back in the studio in Sikniktuk/Sackville preparing new work in anticipation of our return to Aotearoa in September when we'll present our new solo exhibition at Auckland's Gus Fisher Gallery. An exhibition we are excited about, to say the least!
