Recalo Joins RePLHA

Image description

We’re excited to welcome RECALO to the RePLHA initiative. As a pooler, Recalo brings valuable hands-on experience in managing reusable transport packaging systems - strengthening the consortium as it moves towards real-world implementation. With Phase 2 nearing completion, this addition helps bridge system design with operational expertise, bringing us closer to a scalable solution for large household appliances.

BRAVE’R Pilots

Image description

In BRAVE’R – Brabant Veegt de Vloer aan met SUPs, the first pilots are now starting with Vebego. As a professional cleaning partner, Vebego will begin testing cleaning solutions through the refill dispensers in real working environments. This marks an important step from system design into practice: validating how reuse performs in day-to-day operations.

C4R: Project Overview

Image description

Curious how circular economy approaches are being implemented across the Caribbean? A new set of project overviews highlights all CBF-funded initiatives, including our C4R project. It provides a clear view of how different interventions, from reuse systems to recycling infrastructure, are being deployed on the ground to reduce plastic waste and strengthen local value chains.

No PPWR Delay

Image description

Together with industry voices, we’ve signed a joint statement calling for the timely and effective implementation of the PPWR. For recyclers, as with all commercial businesses, delays create uncertainty and slow down vital investment. The message is clear: Europe needs stable, predictable regulation now, not later.

Treaty Talks Resume

Image description

Global efforts to tackle plastic pollution continue as heads of delegation meet in Nairobi to resume talks on the UN plastics treaty. These closed-door discussions aim to address the most challenging questions, hopefully including harmful chemicals, design requirements, financing mechanisms, and potentially a cap on plastic production. These talks will prepare the road for the next INC, at the end of 2026/beginning of 2027.

Supporting Ocean Rights

Image description

We’ve signed the Ocean Rights Declaration, because the ocean should be recognised as a stakeholder — not just a resource. Giving nature a voice in decision making is a growing movement, and one that aligns closely with our work: preventing plastic pollution at the source, rather than managing its consequences.
