Hi again!

Do you feel like you're carrying the whole thing alone?

That’s the strange thing about being good at what you do. The better you get, the lonelier the standard becomes. You hit targets, lead teams, close deals.

From the outside, it looks like you’ve got it, but inside, there’s a quiet question: can I keep doing this at this level?

Let’s talk about two famous sports coaches: Vince Lombardi and Angelo Dundee. What people forget is neither was coach because they were better than the athletes they coached. Lombardi wasn’t out-blocking his Packers. Dundee wasn't out-boxing Muhammad Ali.

Their value was being the outside eye that kept greatness sharp, honest, and consistent.

I’ve met people who got the word coach tangled up with broken, so when someone suggests it, the instinct is defensiveness.

The thing is, that's not what coaching is! The best in the world have coaches because life at the top is tough, but want to stay there.

Sit with this question: who’s your outside eye right now? Not someone managing you — someone reflecting you back to yourself, skilled and honest enough that you can’t hide from your own blind spots.

Wishing you happy success,

Steve.

By the way...
