October on the Farm: Looking Ahead into Spring

October has arrived, and while I'm enjoying every bit of autumn's beauty, I'm already looking ahead to next spring.

Most of my does have now been exposed to a buck, which means I've officially entered the waiting phase. Over the next few weeks, I'll be watching closely to see who settles and who decides they'd rather give breeding another try. If all goes according to plan, baby goats will start arriving in March and April.

That's a little later than my usual kidding season, but sometimes life has a way of adjusting even the best-laid plans. This year has been one of rebuilding, recovering, and finding a new rhythm, and I've learned that some things simply happen on nature's timeline. For now, all I can do is wait, watch, and hope for healthy pregnancies and a barn full of bouncing babies this spring.

The farm has been especially beautiful lately. The trees are putting on quite a show, and every morning seems to bring a new combination of gold, orange, and crimson across the woods. It's one of my favorite times of year, and the changing colors inspired much of this month's soap collection.

This month's release captures the warmth and comfort of the season with Warm Apple Pie, the golden glow of Field & Flame, the rich woodsy character of Sandalwood, and a brand-new design, Autumn Sanctuary, inspired by crisp evenings, quiet reflection, and the peaceful feeling of coming home after a long day.

Last month's collection was one of the strongest releases of the season, and one of the four soaps sold out completely. If you were thinking about grabbing any of the remaining Halloween or pumpkin-season soaps, now is the time. There are still a few bars available, but once they're gone, they'll be gone until next year.

November will also bring the final soap release of 2026 before I turn my attention toward restocking some of the staples many of you have been asking about. Lavender varieties, Mechanic's Bar, Kitchen Lemon, Clean Cotton, and several other favorites are currently out of stock as I work through production schedules and curing time. Fresh batches are already underway, and I'm aiming to have those everyday favorites back on the shelves in January after they've completed their full cure.

I'll also be attending two craft markets in November, and you'll find all the details at the end of this newsletter. If you're nearby, I'd love to see you there and help you start your holiday shopping early.

If you want to make sure you never miss a seasonal batch, the Soap and Bath Bomb subscription boxes are still the easiest way to stay stocked and choose your scents before they sell out.

As always, thank you for being here. I see you, I hear you, and I appreciate every one of you. If you made it this far, you're my people. And if you haven't subscribed to my YouTube channel yet, come join us. 💚
